Garissa gubernatorial aspirant Mohamed Mukhtar Shidiye has pledged to promote an inclusive administration that brings together communities living in the county, as he seeks support ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Shidiye met members of the Luhya community residing in Garissa at Garissa Guest House, where he engaged community representatives alongside other leaders on the county’s development priorities and future.
The discussions focused on ways of accelerating development, strengthening social cohesion and improving livelihoods for residents across Garissa County.
Amb. Shidiye thanked the Luhya community for what he described as a warm reception, confidence and support for his gubernatorial aspirations.
He said his vision for Garissa was anchored on inclusivity and cooperation among the county’s diverse communities.
“If elected, I will ensure that the Luhya community is part of my administration as we work together to build a united, inclusive and prosperous Garissa,” Shidiye said.
The aspirant said his administration would seek to provide opportunities for different communities to participate in governance and contribute to the county’s development agenda.
