The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has rolled out a 30-day Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise, urging eligible Kenyans to register as voters ahead of future elections.
The registration drive, which runs until Tuesday, 28 April 2026, is part of efforts to expand the national voter roll and promote broader participation in the democratic process.
The exercise is being conducted under the theme: “Deepening Democracy in Kenya Through Inclusive Voter Registration.”
According to the commission, registration will be carried out across multiple locations to ensure accessibility.
These include County Assembly wards on a rotational basis guided by kit movement schedules, universities and colleges within respective constituencies, Huduma Centres, and all constituency offices countrywide.
In addition, voters in Nairobi can access registration services at the IEBC Customer Experience Centre located at Anniversary Towers.
The commission has called on all eligible citizens who are yet to register to take advantage of the exercise, emphasising the importance of voter participation in strengthening democratic governance.
IEBC noted that the decentralised approach is designed to reach a wider segment of the population, particularly young people and first-time voters, while reducing barriers to registration.
The ongoing exercise is aimed at ensuring an inclusive and credible electoral process by bringing more Kenyans into the voters’ register.
