Share:

The County Government of Wajir has congratulated two of its senior officers following their admission into prestigious professional bodies on Saturday.

The devolved unit termed the achievements a boost to excellence in public service.

Mr. Abdi Abdullahi Hassan, the Director of Supply Chain Management, has been admitted as a Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Supply Management (FKISM).

FKISM is a national body for professionals in the practice of procurement and supply chain management in Kenya.

Kenya Institute of Supplies Management is a national body for professionals in the practice of procurement and supply chain management in Kenya.

The Institute draws its mandate from the Supplies Practitioners Management Act No.17 of 2007 (the SPMA) to inter alia, register, license all supplies practitioners in Kenya and to regulate their practice.

The county said the recognition reflects his professionalism, dedication, and exemplary service in public procurement and supply chain management.

Mr. Hussein Hassan Ali, the County Director of Treasury in the Department of Finance, has been admitted as a Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA).

A Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) is a prestigious designation for highly experienced CPAs, recognizing exceptional contributions, leadership, and service to the accounting profession and community, often requiring extensive experience (like 10-15+ years) and proven dedication beyond standard membership, marking the highest honor a CPA can achieve from their institute.

The honor of the public officials is a testament to his integrity, competence, and commitment to prudent financial management.

The achievements of the public officers bring pride to Wajir County and reinforce the importance of professionalism, accountability, and continuous development in the public sector.

The County wished both officers continued success as they serve the county and the nation with distinction.
