Sharawe Courts Dadaab Women Support in Garissa Senate Bid

Share:

Garissa County senatorial aspirant Dr. Ahmed Sharawe has stepped up his grassroots campaign with a consultative meeting involving women from Dadaab Constituency, where he outlined his vision for inclusive leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Dr. Sharawe described women as central to the county’s development and pledged to champion policies that strengthen their participation in governance, expand economic opportunities, and improve access to essential public services.

He said his leadership agenda would prioritise equitable development across Garissa County, with a focus on education, healthcare, youth empowerment and accountability in the use of public resources.

The meeting also provided a platform for participants to raise concerns affecting their communities. The women called for increased representation in leadership, support for women-owned enterprises, improved healthcare services, better educational opportunities and programmes aimed at tackling youth unemployment.

Dr. Sharawe thanked the women for their candid contributions. He said public consultations will remain at the heart of his campaign as he seeks to build a people-centred agenda for the county.

The Dadaab meeting is part of a wider series of engagements the senatorial aspirant is holding across Garissa County to gather residents’ views and rally support ahead of the 2027 polls.
