The National Peace and Mediation Team (NPMT) is meeting this week to review the state of the nation and develop key recommendations for electoral management bodies ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The team has expressed concern over increasing politically sponsored violence and the use of hired gangs to disrupt peaceful gatherings, urging leaders, security agencies, and citizens to uphold dialogue, the rule of law, and peaceful coexistence as the country prepares for the polls.
