Motorists Advised as KURA Closes Section Near Junction Mall

Share:

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced the partial closure of a section of Ngong Road and Naivasha Road near Junction Mall to facilitate final asphalt works.

A statement issued on Sunday, KURA said the closure will take effect from Monday, May 18, 2026, to Sunday, May 31, 2026, with works scheduled nightly between 8:00 pm and 4:00 am.

According to the authority, the temporary closure is intended to allow contractors to undertake asphalt laying as part of the final finishing works aimed at improving urban mobility along the busy corridor.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes as indicated in the traffic management sketch provided by KURA and to follow directions issued by traffic police officers and marshals stationed within the area.

KURA apologised for the inconvenience caused, saying the project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and ease traffic movement within Nairobi.
