Gariss County Assembly Majority Leader and Dadaab MCA Mohamed Abdi Farah has commended training for Members of the Garissa County Assembly on ethical leadership and integrity.
The programme focused on Chapter Six of the Constitution, the Conflict of Interest Act, 2025, and requirements for the declaration of income, assets and liabilities by State officers.
He said the forum had equipped MCAs with vital knowledge on accountability and transparent leadership.

The four-day training on ethical leadership and integrity was organized by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Mr. Farah Aboo urged the EACC to conduct similar trainings at the beginning of every Assembly term to help newly elected members embrace integrity standards early in office and called for a separate programme for the Powers and Privileges Committee.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) training forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ethical governance, improve public trust and promote accountability within county governments.
