A 27-year-old Mombasa man, Morris Kioko, has discovered his personal details were already registered to vote in Garissa County.
Kioko, who had never registered before, said his ID number and full names appeared in IEBC records for a polling station in Jarajara Ward, Balambala Constituency. The photograph and location linked to the registration, he says, are not his.
He suspects the issue may relate to his past work with the National Youth Service in Tana River County.
IEBC has acknowledged the complaint and called on Kioko to provide evidence. The commision said biometric verification prevents multiple voting but confirmed they would investigate the case.
Kioko warned others might be affected by similar irregularities and urged the commission to act swiftly.
