Youth leader Abdikadir Aden has encouraged students at NEP Girls School to remain focused on their education and personal development, assuring them that they have the potential to overcome challenges and become future leaders.

Mr. Abdikadir said the initiative was aimed at instilling strong values and equipping the students with life skills necessary for success.

The session was also graces by several young mentors, including Asharoon Mohamed, Emran Hassan, Halima Yahya, Ridwan Noor Mohammed and Jazir Ali Hussein, who engaged the students on a range of issues affecting young people.

The mentors emphasized the importance of discipline, responsible use of social media, avoiding drugs and substance abuse, participating in co-curricular activities, and discovering individual talents and passions.

Mr. Abdikadir acknowledged the challenges facing the region, including harsh climatic conditions and the recent wave of school unrests across the country. Despite these obstacles, he urged the learners to remain hopeful and determined.

“We reminded these young girls that their future is still bright. They have the power to rise above challenges, pursue their dreams, become leaders, create solutions and transform their communities,” he said.

He encouraged the students to believe in themselves and remain committed to their education, noting that consistent effort and resilience would open doors to greater opportunities.

“The future belongs to girls who believe in themselves and keep showing up every day,” he added.

Abdikadir also expressed appreciation to the school’s administration, particularly Principal Ahmed and the teaching staff, for providing a platform to mentor the students.

He said the team remains committed to expanding similar mentorship programmes to reach more young people across the region as part of efforts to empower the next generation through education, guidance and positive role models.
