Mr. Abdikadir Sheikh Kassim, widely known as Dadir, has announced his intention to vie for the Township Ward seat in the 2027 elections.
Dadir is positioning himself as a candidate focused on economic growth and grassroots empowerment.
He is a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) graduate, currently serves as the interim chairman of the Garissa business community, where he has been actively involved in advocating for traders’ interests and promoting local enterprise development.
Dadir emphasized the need for stronger representation to address challenges facing small businesses, including access to capital, infrastructure, and market opportunities.
His candidacy has injected momentum into the Garissa Township Ward contest with assured backing by influence within the local business sector.
