The Speaker of the House of Representatives Jubbaland State Abdi Mohamed Abdirahman, inaugurated a new Women’s Development Centre in Afmadow alongside the Minister for Women, Family Affairs and Human Rights, Cadar Ismaaciil Cabdullaahi on Sunday.
The facility, established by the ministry, is expected to support women’s empowerment and community development programmes.
Mr. Abdi commended the women of Afmadow for their role in serving the community and supporting security forces, urging them to strengthen their efforts.
He reaffirmed the Jubbaland government’s commitment to supporting women across the state.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of the Lower Jubba Women’s Association, government officials and other invited guests.
