Education authorities in North Eastern Kenya have confirmed that 1,800 new teachers have been deployed following a presidential directive to solve long-standing regional staff shortages.
Ahead of national assessments for 94,538 candidates across the region, government vehicles and helicopters have been commissioned to deliver examination papers safely to remote areas in Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa.
Officials reaffirmed a commitment to 100% student transition under the Competency-Based Education framework.
