An aircraft incident was reported on Monday afternoon at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi, involving a domestic flight arriving from Elwak airstrip in Mandera.
According to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), the aircraft, which was carrying 50 passengers, veered off Taxiway Echo shortly after landing at JKIA. No injuries were reported, and all passengers and crew were safely accounted for.
KAA confirmed that airport emergency response teams were immediately activated in line with established safety procedures. The Authority further noted that airport operations were not disrupted and continue to run normally.
The Authority said it is working closely with relevant aviation agencies to ensure the safe removal of the aircraft and to establish the cause of the incident.
KAA reassured the public of its continued commitment to safety, security, and efficiency in airport operations.
