Jamal Abdullahi Hirsi has received the backing of members of the Gumcadle community in his bid to become the next Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Habaswein Ward following a consultative meeting held on Saturday.
Residents who attended the meeting endorsed Hirsi’s candidature, saying they believed he was well placed to champion development and represent the interests of the ward at the Wajir County Assembly.
Community members urged residents to rally behind a united candidate, describing the endorsement as a step towards strengthening cohesion and advancing the area’s development agenda.
Mr. Hirsi thanked the community for its confidence in his leadership and pledged to pursue inclusive governance, improved service delivery and development initiatives that address the needs of all residents if elected.
The endorsement comes as political consultations and grassroots mobilisation continue to intensify ahead of Kenya’s next general election.
