Daud Mohamed Sahal has expressed confidence in winning the Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat for Habaswein Ward in the next general election.
In an interview with RTG Digital, Mr. Sahal pledged to prioritise service delivery, community engagement and inclusive representation.
He also urged eligible community members to register as voters and obtain their voter cards. He described voting as a democratic right and an important way of participating in decisions that affect the community.
Daud Sahal said his decision to seek the MCA position was motivated by a desire to serve residents, listen to their concerns and work collectively to address local challenges.
His proposed priorities include improving access to essential services, youth empowerment, support for women, education, healthcare, water and sanitation, infrastructure, and creating economic opportunities for residents.
He said leadership should be centred on the people rather than individuals, pledging to consult and work with residents regardless of age, background or political affiliation.
Daud called on residents to unite behind a common vision for the ward and sought their support, advice and prayers as he prepares for the electoral contest.
“Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can move Habaswein Ward forward,” he said.
His declaration adds to the emerging political activity across Wajir South ahead of the 2027 general election. Prospective candidates have begun positioning themselves and engaging communities across the region.
