The National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) has conducted an awareness session for 258 National Youth Service (NYS) officers at the Mbalambala Field Unit in Garissa County as part of the Kenya–European Union partnership supporting the implementation of the National Strategy to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism (NSPCVE) 2025–2029.
The programme aims to strengthen the officers’ capacity to promote resilient, peaceful and secure communities through increased awareness and prevention of violent extremism.
