The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) has officially opened submissions for the 2026 COMESA Media Awards. The annual awards recognize journalists from member states who promote regional integration through published or broadcast stories.
Eligible entries include print, radio, television, and online media works produced between 1 January and 31 December 2025. Stories should highlight issues such as trade, transport, energy, ICT, agriculture, gender, and investment, with a clear regional dimension spanning multiple COMESA member states.
Journalists can submit works in English, French, or Arabic by 28 February 2026 through the COMESA online entry form at www.comesa.int.
The adjudication panel will select the best works, with awards aimed at encouraging awareness, understanding, and participation in regional integration.
