Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged Western Kenya residents to unite behind President William Ruto’s re-election bid in 2027, calling for stronger political representation and an end to regional divisions.
Musalia Mudavadi said political unity was essential to securing greater influence in national decision-making.
He was speaking during engagements with leaders in Vihiga County and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) delegates in Kakamega,
He urged Kenyans to reject tribalism, political hostility and revenge-driven politics, advocating instead for peace, stability and continuity of development.
Mudavadi reaffirmed his support for Ruto’s second term, saying it would help consolidate investments in roads, schools, hospitals, rural electrification and other infrastructure projects.
In Shinyalu and Mumias East, he called for the election of more UDA legislators in 2027, arguing that stronger parliamentary representation would give Western Kenya greater influence over legislation, national budgets and development priorities.
He also urged supporters to mobilise behind Ruto for a first-round victory, alongside UDA candidates across elective positions.
“Kenya needs leaders who unite, not divide; leaders who build, not those driven by revenge, tribalism and political hostility,” Mudavadi said.
