Garissa County Woman Representative candidate Faiza Sadik Hilowle has condemned the alleged abduction and gang rape of a 16-year-old student from Fafi Girls Secondary School, calling for a swift investigation and justice for the survivor.
Mr. Hilowle described the alleged attack as “heinous and inhumane,” saying no child should live in fear or be denied the right to pursue education in safety and dignity.
She urged the National Police Service to conduct a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation, and called for all those responsible to be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
Hilowle also appealed for the survivor to receive medical care, psychosocial support, and protection, while urging leaders and the community to unite against sexual and gender-based violence.
