Tatu Coffee Estates Limited has emerged as a leading performer at the National Taste of Harvest Kenya 2025–2026 Awards after clinching both first and third place in the highly competitive Washed Arabica category.
The National Taste of Harvest Awards are regarded as Kenya’s most prestigious coffee quality competition, bringing together top producers from across the country to benchmark excellence in specialty coffee. The Washed Arabica category is considered the most contested, reflecting Kenya’s global standing as a producer of premium-quality Arabica coffee.
The dual win positions Tatu Coffee among the country’s top coffee estates and underscores the effectiveness of its estate-based farming and processing model, which emphasizes quality control from cultivation through to processing.
Tatu Coffee owns and manages more than 6,500 acres of coffee estates in Kiambu County, just north of Nairobi. The scale of operations allows the company to maintain consistency and traceability while producing volumes that meet the demands of international specialty coffee markets.
The company is owned by Rendeavour, the developer of Tatu City, whose long-term investment strategy supports modern agricultural practices, infrastructure development, and sustainability initiatives within its agricultural portfolio.
The awards were presented during the National Taste of Harvest Kenya 2025–2026 ceremony, which brings together industry stakeholders, regulators, and coffee professionals to celebrate quality and innovation in the sector.
Kenya’s coffee industry continues to rely on such competitions to promote quality improvement, enhance global competitiveness, and strengthen the country’s reputation in the specialty coffee market.
