The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) has reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with health professionals, ensuring that all covered employees receive remuneration in line with the agreement’s provisions.
Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of the PPB, made the commitment during a courtesy visit by the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Nairobi Branch.
The union delegation was led by Dr. Bill Muriuki, who used the meeting to introduce the branch’s new leadership and discuss the ongoing implementation of the CBA.
“We remain committed to fair labour practices, constructive dialogue, and sustained engagement with our employee representatives,” Dr. Mohamed stated.
He underscored the importance of continued collaboration between regulatory bodies and health worker unions in Kenya’s pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
Both parties emphasised the need for harmonious industrial relations to support effective service delivery and staff welfare.
