Abakaile Ward Member of County Assembly and former Garissa County Executive Committee Member, Mr. Hajir Mohamed Dahiye will present his application for Governor and political manifesto to the Auwliyahan Professionals, a representative council comprising nine senior members drawn from the nine Auwliyahan sub clans of the larger Ogaden Clan.

The Auwliyahan Professionals bring together experienced leaders from public service, security, business, medicine, and politics, each representing a distinct clan within the community.

The council is chaired by Eng. Abdirizaq Haji Adan, a former Principal Secretary, who represents the Wafate sub clan.

The vice chair is Eng. Mohboub Maalim, also a former Principal Secretary, representing Afgab.

Other members include Hassan Sheikh, former Chief Executive Officer of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, representing Rer Ali; General Abdullahi Rashid, a former senior military commander, representing Abokor Cade; and businessman Isa Farah Dawara, representing Rer Hawis.

The council further includes Mzee Abdikadir Shakul, the first mayor of Garissa Municipality and a long-serving councillor, representing Rer Adankheir; Dr. Sadik Bashir, a medical practitioner representing Rer Khassim; Mr. Omar Nunde, a senior administration officer representing Rer Songad; and Mzee Ahmed Haji Issa, a veteran political leader representing Rer Afwah.

Mr. Dahiye’s engagement with the professionals forms part of his broader consultative approach as he seeks community endorsement and guidance.

He has emphasized that there is no ambiguity in the composition or mandate of the Auwliyahan Professionals.

Mr. Hajir described them as a legitimate and inclusive representation of the community.

Mr. Dahiye is the leader of the TALASAME Alliance, the official opposition in Garissa County.

The alliance aims to unite voters across Garissa North and Garissa South, positioning itself as a platform for inclusive leadership, accountability, and equitable development.

The presentation for the governor provides an opportunity for dialogue on leadership, unity, and the future political direction of the community and the wider county.
